Friday Favorite: Step Basket

Here's an item that's super handy when you're putting away things on different levels. I always put stuff on the stairs and keep the policy that if there's something on the stairs, don't walk up without bringing it (although the kids are really good at walking past). This basket is a nice holding zone, but beware not to let the basket be a dumping ground for extra storage. It's only a temporary holding zone. Another option is to have individual baskets for family members. My boys share the attic space in our home and they each have a basket on the stairs. As teenagers, I love that their space is on another level because I don't have to look at the mess! Try some baskets on your stairway and see if it will help the flow of items throughout the house.
