Friday Favorite: Password Booklet

Since I spoke about password managers for Website Wednesday, the obvious companion to a good password managing program on your computer is a hand held password booklet like this one from PasswordDirectory.com. I've used my Password Directory for years. Always remember to use pencil when writing in the booklet. Passwords change, and frequently visited sites change, so you do need to erase from time to time. The Password directory is small and handy and can sit right at your desk to help keep all passwords in one handy place—much better than sticky scraps of paper all over the place (especially if you have paper organizing issues :-) The only thing you want to beware of with a password booklet is that it doesn't get into the wrong hands, so keep it nearby and hidden. You can click on PasswordDirectory.com to order one of these books, they are great to keep website information accessible and there's even a line for a hint to the password and extra space for notes—although you must write small. Use a password directory to help eliminate paper password pile up and to help keep your online information organized.
