Store Like Things Together

When organizing anything around the house, a great rule of thumb is to keep like items together. This way, you'll always know what you have and when you're running low. Consider this Scotch Tape, you may have many rolls taking up space in multiple drawers, but when you go to look for one--nowhere to be found, right? Keep what you need on hand in the same place and store the extras with other overstock supplies. This way, only one roll of the tape should be out in the drawer and all others tucked away in a box labeled "extras". Think toothpaste, shampoo, cereal boxes... this is a great way to avoid having multiples of half used items taking up space all around the house!
