Friday Favorite: Dry Erase Labels

Do you sometimes hesitate to create a label on something because you will only need it temporarily? We often hear clients say that they will just add something to a pile because they're going to use it soon and then it will be going elsewhere. Labels can make all the difference in helping you find what you need quickly.Think about it, if you have a stack of papers to go through, it takes time to look and decide upon each sheet. if you have things grouped into files and labeled, a quick look will show you what's there. We suggest using basic 3x3 Post It Notes as a temporary label on file folders. If your labeling any other type of container, these removable Dry Erase Labels from Avery are a great solution. We recently helped a client get started with a big moving transition project. Things were in chaos and we weren't sure what would be kept and how things were going to end up being organized and boxed. We started with these dry erase labels sectioning things into boxes and containers she had on hand. Some labels changed as we went through the process and having the flexibility of the dry erase surface was perfect. If you have items in your home or office that are transitional and change frequently, consider these labels. Remember, the more you label, the less time you'll spend searching for things!
